The Black Box was founded with the idea of creating an engaging and educational experience through literature, art, and interactive play. As an educator recognizing the inadequacy of limiting discussions on trailblazers to Black History Month, I began to compile lessons, activities, and crafts into a comprehensive curriculum.
Our educational approach extends beyond teaching about legendary black icons. We will provide children with vocabulary-building literature, expose them to a wide range of career paths, instill them with valuable background knowledge about these paths, engage them in hands-on lessons that simulate real-world applications, and celebrate their accomplishments in unforgettable moments designed to leave a lasting impression.
